1.1. PURPOSE OF POLICY.

www.Unsteal.org, owned and operated by Unsteal Nonprofit Inc., a California non-profit public benefit corporation, (“us,” “we,” “Unsteal” or “the Organization”) is committed to respecting the privacy rights of its users and visitors of the Unsteal website (the “Site”). We created this privacy policy statement (hereinafter, the “Privacy Policy”) to give you confidence as you visit and use the Site, and to demonstrate our commitment to fair information practices and the protection of privacy. This Privacy Policy is only applicable to your activities and used of this Site, and is not applicable to any other websites you may be able to access from the Site, each of which may have data collection and use practices and policies that differ materially from this Privacy Policy.  This policy tells you when this Privacy Policy is effective, what information we collect from you, how we might use it, and how we may change these policies. 

1.2. NOTICE CONCERNING CHILDREN

We are a general audience site, and do not direct any of our content specifically at children under 13 years of age. We understand and are committed to respecting the sensitive nature of children’s privacy online. Thus, if we learn or have reason to suspect that a site user is under age 13, we will promptly delete any personal information collected from such user.  Notwithstanding the above, no use of this site by persons under 18 permitted.  You agree that by using this Site you are at least 18 years of age and you are legally able to enter into a binding legal contract.

1.3 AGREEMENT TO TERMS OF PRIVACY POLICY AND TERMS OF USE. 

All activities which you engage on this Site are completely voluntary.  You are not required to provide any personal information to Unsteal unless you choose to access features on this Site which require the information.  If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy or if you do not agree with our Terms and Conditions posted at https://unsteal.org/TermsOfUse, please do not provide us with any personal information, exit, and discontinue your use of the Site.   The Terms and Conditions of this Site are expressly incorporated herein by reference and made a part of this Privacy Policy.  By using www.Unsteal.org, you signify that you agree to this Privacy Policy as well as to our Terms and Conditions.

2. INFORMATION COLLECTION PRACTICES

2.1. WHAT BASIC INFORMATION DOES UNSTEAL COLLECT?

While the Site does not generally collect any personally identifiable information from you, it is possible that access to certain services, products, or features may ask you to provide your contact information, including but not limited to your name, address, age, and e-mail address.  Providing any such information is completely voluntarily and this information is not otherwise collected from visitors and users unless it is requested from them from the Site.

2.2. WHAT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION DOES ORGANIZATION COLLECT?

(a) AUTOMATIC COLLECTION. Our servers may automatically recognize visitors’ domain names, IP addresses (the number assigned to computers on the Internet), and other traffic data such as they type of computer and web browser used to access the Site. No personal information about you is revealed in this process. The Site may also gather anonymous “traffic data” that does not personally identify you.

(b) COOKIES. From time to time, we may use the standard “cookies” feature of major browser applications that allows us to store a small piece of data on your computer about your visit to the Site. We do not set any personally identifiable information in cookies.  Cookies help us learn which areas of our site are useful and which areas need improvement. Collectively, the collection of any information gathered from automatic collection processes and cookies is hereinafter called “Anonymous Data.”

3.1. WHAT DO WE DO WITH COLLECTED INFORMATION?

If we collect any personal information, we will not share such personal information with any third parties without your consent, except as necessary to provide you with any agreed services, or to comply with the law.  For example, we may disclose personally information in response to a court order, subpoena or where it is otherwise required by law.  If we collect any contact information from you, we may use that information to inform you of any changes to the Site, or to send you additional information about Unsteal. If you communicate with us by e-mail, or otherwise complete any optional online forms or prompts, any information provided in such communication may be collected as personal information. Although we take appropriate measures to safeguard against unauthorized disclosures of information, we cannot assure that any collected personal information will never be disclosed in a manner that is inconsistent with this Privacy Policy. 

(b) ANONYMOUS DATA. We use Anonymous Data to analyze our Site traffic, but we do not examine this information for individually identifying information. In addition, we may use Anonymous Data to help diagnose problems with our servers, to administer the Site, or to display the content according to your preferences. Traffic and transaction information may also be shared with business partners on an aggregate and anonymous basis.  We may use cookies to deliver content specific to your interests or for other purposes. Any promotions or advertisements displayed on our site may also contain cookies. We do not have access to or control any information collected by outside advertisers on our site.

(c) DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION. We may disclose personal information if required to do so by law, court order, subpoena, or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to (1) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on Unsteal or its affiliated agents, owners, board members, or employees; (2) protect and defend the rights or property of Unsteal or the users of the Site; or (3) act under exigent circumstances to protect the safety of the public or users of the Site.

(d) ACCESS TO INFORMATION. Unfortunately, we do not maintain any procedures for you to review or request changes to the information that we collect about you, except that you may request that we remove all information about you from our database by contacting us in accordance with Section 6.1 below.

4.1 NO GUARANTEE. Whenever you give out personal information online there is a risk that third parties may intercept and use that information.  While we strive to protect your personal information and privacy, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you disclose online. By using this Site, you expressly acknowledge and agree that we do not guarantee the security of any data provided to or received by us through your use of the Site.  Any personal information, general information, Anonymous Data or other data or information received from you through the Site is provided to us at your own risk, which you expressly assume.

We use reasonable measures to maintain the security of your information. Although we take appropriate measures, we cannot assure you that the information collected will never be disclosed in a manner that is inconsistent with this Privacy Policy.

5. WEBSITE AREAS BEYOND OUR CONTROL

5.1. THIRD PARTY WEBSITES

The Site may contain links to other websites, including links to other websites in order to complete a service or transaction offered by Unsteal. If you choose to visit and/or use such other websites to complete a transaction, we are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those other websites, and it is your responsibility to review the privacy policies at those websites to confirm that you understand and agree with their policies.  This Privacy Policy does not apply to any information we may collect about you in any place other than this Site, and does not apply to information supplied by third party websites that may facilitate a service or transaction that is initiated on this Site.

7.1 DISCLAIMERS. The Privacy Policy does not extend to anything that is inherent in the operation of the Internet, and therefore beyond www.Unsteal.org or Unsteal’s control, and is not to be applied in any manner contrary to applicable law or governmental regulation. This online Privacy Policy only applies to information collected through the Site. This Privacy Policy does not apply to any information we may collect from you in any place other than the Site.
